GREENVILLE, N.C. - Rio Johnson had not played very much in three years coming into last week's 35-10 win over Appalachian State. He managed to throw for 242 yards and two touchdowns and run for a third against Appalachian State to get the Pirates to 1-0 for the season.

Rio Johnson took some time this week to bring PirateIllustrated.com up to date on what all he hopes to do this Saturday and bring you a preview of things to come in Columbia.

Dave Neal and Andre Ware call the action this week for SEC-TV and ESPN 3 as the Pirates take on the Gamecocks at 12:20 in Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. WITN-TV 7 will pick up the game feed for Eastern North Carolina viewers.
