Carden Blows Up UNC

Chapel Hill, N.C. - East Carolina came out hot and remained that way throughout the day in a 55-31 romp of North Carolina on Saturday.

A sold out crowd in Kenan Stadium witnessed for only the second time an East Carolina team coming away with a victory on Tar Heel
turf. There had been many close calls but this year's group of Pirates swashbucked their way to a very historic win.

The Pirates rolled up 603 yards of total offense. Junior quarterback Shane Carden passed for 376 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for three 1-yard touchdowns in the win.

Lincoln Riley's offense did a masterful job of controlling clock, scoring points and mixing it up. Vintavious Cooper ran for 186 yards while the ECU defense showed up big for the vast majority of the game.
