GREENVILLE, N.C. - Down for most of the evening, East Carolina(6-2) put on a late rally, but Prince Williams' dunk attempt was blocked by Cedric Williams as time expired to lift UNC-Wilmington(5-5) past ECU 70-68 in Minges Coliseum Sunday night.

Caleb White scored 14, Akeem Richmond overcame a slow start to toss in 13 and Prince Williams had 10 in a losing cause.
The Seahawks took an early 13-5 lead on a Williams bucket in the paint. But two Mike Zangari baskets, a Brandon Stith spin move in the lane and Paris Roberts-Campbell heating up with 13 late first half points tied the game at 24-24 with 6:43 to go in the first period. Then ECU's Caleb White knocked down his only three points of the half on a jumper with five seconds to go to tie the game, 31-31 at intermission.
In the first five minutes of the second half, Shane Reybold got it going or UNC-W(5-5) with a pair of free throws, a turnaround jumper and a put-back dunk as the Seahawks jumped out to a six point lead, 41-35.
ECU took their first lead of the game at 43-41 on a Caleb White trey with 13:19 to go. ECU again took a two point lead at 48-46 at the 10:38 mark.
But a score from Cedric Williams, Dylan Sherwood's lay-in, two baskets from Alabama transfer Ben Eblen and another basket by Williams found Wilmington up 56-50 with 7:15 to play.
Paris Roberts-Campbell's first basket of the second half cut the lead to four. Then Akeem Richmond went to work with two free throws and a three point jumper to give the Pirates a two-point 60-58 lead at the 4:48 mark.
Three layups by Freddie Jackson and a dunk by Cedric Williams put the Seahawks up by five, 69-64 with 25 seconds to go.
Antonio Robinson drive in the lane pulled the Pirates to within one at 69-68 with eight seconds in regulation. Spruill was fouled by Prince Williams on the ensuing possession and hit one free throw and missed the second, setting ECU up for a game winning basket attempt by Prince Williams that was blocked by Cedric Williams as time expired.
