"East Carolina was on me before I committed to South Carolina, said the Atlanta forward, "They've been on me, I got the release and they didn't waste no time, they came down here and I had an in-home visit with Coach LaBarrie and Coach (Mack) McCarthy."
Morrow plans to take visits soon to both Auburn and East Carolina and could set up additional visits.
"I've never been to Greenville, but I'm coming up for a visit," said Morrow, "I was going to come tomorrow, but I got tied up so I had to postpone it until next week or the maybe the middle of the following week."
The Atlanta center talked about his feel for the Pirate coaching staff.
"Coach LaBarrie is a really cool, I have an excellent relationship with him, very good and Coach McCarthy is just a real down to earth, he coached Charles Barkley and you know, I just feel like I can turn things around at ECU if I come up there."
Where do the Pirates stand on Morrow's list of favorites?
"ECU is definately in my top three, said Morrow, I've only got two visits set up now, I'm going to Auburn on Monday after school and I may add another one later."
Morrow averaged 23 points and 13 rebounds per game last season.
"When the coaches came down I used to weigh 270 but now I weigh 250. I lost twenty pounds during the season last season so I'm quicker, I can jump higher, I can finish better and defend a lot better, said Morrow who says he feels like he can run a lot longer as a result, "The coaches were all shocked at to how much weight I had lost."
Morrow has a number of additional schools working hard to work their way into the mix.
Darius visited Fordham officially last fall. Virginia Tech and East Carolina were in the gym to see Morrow in action on Monday and he has also received interest from Oklahoma, Tulane and Oklahoma State. And there are others involved.
"West Virginia, College of Charleston, Ole Miss, there are a lot of them," said Morrow,
"I'll probably make that third choice like Saturday or something."
When does Morrow plan to narrow down his final choice as to where to go for the next four years?
"I was thinking about signing on the last day (of the signing period) on the 21st, but I'll sign one of these days coming up once I've taken all my visits."
