Drake Ready for Finale

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Fayetteville senior Daniel Drake didn't start his college football career at ECU, but he is proud to finish it as a Pirate this Friday.
Drake and his Pirate defense will take on a multi-talented Marshall team led by Rakeem Cato. This is a group that Drake started out with four years ago so he has great familiarity with a lot of the Herd's personnel.

He talked about what the defense is doing this week to get ready for the final home game of the season and his last home game of his collegiate career.
"We've been going through our normal week, we know we've got to defend. We have been going through our different play calls. We're going to continue to grind it and if we know what we're doing we ought to be able to move fast."
Drake has started the past five contests and he recorded five stops in the Houston contest two weeks ago. He talked about what the ECU experience has meant to him.
"It's meant a lot to me, people know I transferred from Marshall, I love it way better here, especially since I made it off of a tryout," said Drake, "I appreciate everything ECU has done for me and my family and I'll never forget it."
Drake has turned into a memorable player who is looking to go out with a bang on Senior Day. The Fayetteville senior says his defense will be ready on Friday to take on Marshall.
"We're definately ready, not only is this the last regular season game but it might be to get in the conference championship, so we'll definately be ready."
