PI Video: Skip Holtz UTEP Postgame

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina pelted UTEP on Friday afternoon 53-21 in a Senior Day thrashing in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Senior running back Brandon Simmons ran for 111 yards and scored four touchdowns in the victory and quarterback Patrick Pinkney passed for 228 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

"It's awfully nice to win, especially in a game that everybody said was not important and didn't matter," said Pirate coach Skip Holtz, "I think it speaks volumes for this football team and what the players had to play for. There wasn't anything from a big picture standpoint, but there was an awful lot to play for with the senior class.
"They wanted to go out of here winners. They also wanted to go out on top at Dowdy-
Ficklen because this is such a special place to them."
East Carolina(8-4) take on the winner of the West Division champs of Conference USA next week at a location to be named later this weekend.
