Report: Davie CB Perry James commits to ECU

GREENVILLE, N.C. - Pirate Illustrated.com has learned that Mocksville(NC) Davie defensive back, Perry James has committed to play his college football at East Carolina according to his coach in a published report in the Winston Salem Journal.
The 6-foot lock down cornerback weighs 180 pounds and was selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolina's before an infection in his hand required surgery and prevented him from participating.

"What makes Perry special is he wants to make big plays," Davie cornerbacks coach John Bullins told the Salisbury Post, "He wants to get that hit that dislodges a ball or make that interception."
James, who missed all of the 2007 season with a shoulder dislocation before returning this year, has 4.4 speed on a tallish frame for a cornerback and is ECU's 17th known current commitment for the recruiting class of 2009.
