Rivals 3-Star safety Davondre "Tank" Robinson was ECU's biggest visitor this weekend.

The Santee, South Carolina safety came away impressed and made the decision to commit to the Pirates on Sunday.

The 6-0, 190 pound safety was on the South Carolina Shrine Bowl squad and found himself high on the Pirate wish list. He sports 4.5 forty speed, a 38 inch vertical and a 485 squat lift numbers and also played quite a bit at quarterback in addition to safety.

ECU coaches Ryan Anderson and Brandon Lynch are credited with his recruitment for the Pirates.

The Lake Marion standout holds at least 20 offers including Clemson, Notre Dame, South Carolina, N.C. State who were also in the mix over the course of the recruiting cycle.

With Robinson's pledge, that puts the Pirates at 22 current commitments for the class of 2017 where East Carolina currently ranks 60th nationally with Rivals.com.
