GREENVILLE, N.C. - Two junior college players and 11 high school seniors have committed to play baseball at East Carolina University in 2014, head baseball coach Billy Godwin announced today. The latest group ofstandouts will enroll at ECU in the fall of 2013 and will take the field for the Pirates in 2014.
This class is made up of four pitchers (Luke Bolka, Evan Kruczynski, Philip Perry and Jacob Wolfe), five infielders (Hunter Allen, Kirk Morgan, Matt Singletary, Cameron Snow and Charlie Yorgen), one catcher (Eric Tyler) and three two-way players (Bryce Harman, Davis Kirkpatrick and T.J. McDonald).
This is one of the top classes we have signed at East Carolina during my tenure," said Godwin. "Our coaching staff did an outstanding job of addressing our needs and filling them with young men that can help East Carolina win championships. We have eight players from North Carolina along with five from out of state. Our in-state commitments show we have the ability to attract some of the best players in North Carolina, while the out of state players are among the best their state's have to offer. These young men are coming to East Carolina to receive a degree and help our program get to Omaha! They will be great Pirates!"
