East Carolina Picks Up One Commitment and Loses Another

The Pirates lost one commitment and gained another on Monday.

Running back Jerry Howard out of Rock Hill (SC) Northwestern decommitted from East Carolina and has made a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.

He made his intentions known on Twitter on Monday.

The Pirates also picked up a commitment on Monday afternoon in Charlotte (NC) Myers Park linebacker Ben Norris.

I would like to officially commit to East Carolina University. Go Pirates 😈

1:41 PM - 21 Nov 2016The 6-3, 220 pound linebacker is a North Carolina Shrine Bowl pick. He holds offers from Elon, Coastal Carolina and Georgetown and also was receiving interest from West Virginia and Louisville.

Norris received an ECU offer in the spring of 2016. With Norris' commitment, ECU stands at 20 known pledges for the class of 2017.
