Noah Farrakhan Chooses ECU

ECU was looking to add a point guard to their recruiting class and they found a good one in Noah Farrakhan out of Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Farrakhan helped lead the Patrick School in Hillside, New Jersey to a Union County title and an 18-8 record last season. He transferred over from from the IMG Academy for his senior year.

Farrakhan joins 7-foot center Derrick Quansah in East Carolina’s class of 2020.

The 6-2, 175 pounder ranks 37th in the country at his position as seen by Rivals.com.

Farrakhan averaged 7.1 points and 2.4 assists this season, making 46 percent of his shots from the field and 34 percent from deep (13-for-38.)

The Rivals 3-Star guard chose the Pirates over offers from St. John's, Penn State, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Wake Forest, Providence, Mississippi State, New Mexico, Florida, Maryland, Minnesota and Penn State.

Penn State, New Mexico, Maryland and ECU were among those in the mix at the end.

Farrakhan can play at either the point or as a small two-guard when needed.
