Connecticut picked up game three of a three game weekend AAC series to sweep the weekend set over East Carolina 5-1 on Sunday in Clark-LeClair Stadium.

The Huskies scored two runs in the third when Anthony Prato singled to center field to bring Alex LeFevre across for a run. Then Prato scored later in the inning.

Another two Huskies scored in the fifth frame when Luke Bolka misjudged a line drive that brought two UConn runs across with two outs in the inning. That was followed by another run in the sixth inning in the victory.

The Pirates committed five errors on Sunday after having four the day before.

The only run the Pirates were able to muster came in the seventh when a Wes Phillips pop fly to right allowed Nick Barber to score.

It was the only time the Pirates have been swept twice at home and three times in the same season in program history. The other home sweep came at the hands of Mercer after being swept by Ole Miss to open the season.

Mason Feole remained undefeated with the victory to move to 4-0 on the season. Ryan Radue came on to pick up his first save of the season for the Huskies.

For East Carolina, Jake Agnos suffered the loss to fall to 1-1 for the year.

With the win Connecticut moves to 16-9 for the year and 3-0 in AAC play while the Pirates fall to 18-11 and 0-3 in the conference.
